[00:00:00] Marco Ciappelli: Now it's recording. Now it's recording. Ahem. Hello. Yellow.

All right. So,

[00:00:13] Sean Martin: all right. Hi ya ya! Actually I moved, so go and check real quick. Make sure I'm not

[00:00:19] Marco Ciappelli: Hi ya ya!

Right, here we are. There's some beautiful weather here in San Francisco. I want to be Again, um, be responsible and be thankful, like you should thank me for the weather that I brought. I mean, incredible weather, too bad we spent the whole time inside. But, that's good, that's good. We are outside now and uh, I kind of need a sunscreen.

I know, it's warm in

[00:00:58] Sean Martin: the jacket. All the uh, all the gadgets.

[00:01:02] Christina Stokes: Yep, all your toys.

[00:01:04] Sean Martin: All the toys. Yep. But, uh. It's been a good week. It's been a good week. It is a sad moment.

[00:01:10] Marco Ciappelli: It is. I am sad because we have met a lot of people. A lot of people that I didn't think it was going to be here, so even more surprising. A lot of selfies, a lot of posts, a lot of interaction on social media.

But most of all, a lot of good conversation. And so that's the apologies for not doing this earlier. Recap every day is because we were really busy with people way smarter way smarter than us

[00:01:36] Christina Stokes: A lot of brilliant minds

[00:01:37] Marco Ciappelli: a lot of brilliant minds. So christina, this was your first experience with us Be honest, if it sucks, it sucks.

Y'all are

[00:01:46] Christina Stokes: y'all are wild How i'd have to recap it So, how

[00:01:52] Marco Ciappelli: was it?

[00:01:52] Christina Stokes: No, it was great. I mean ITSP works really hard and like just seeing it from behind the scenes You There's a lot that goes into everything that that happens on, on our network, and I really appreciate the opportunity to, to come and join you guys.

And I had a blast.

[00:02:09] Marco Ciappelli: And you were in front too. I know you went to start behind the scene. You actually had some conversation. Who did you talk to?

[00:02:15] Christina Stokes: Uh, today I talked to Hutch, uh, Justin Hutchins. Yes. We had a lot, we had a great conversation about, um, ai, the weaponization of ai. That's going to destroy the world or not, but, uh, but, you know, what the, the, what the near term looks like for AI and, and the threats and risks there, um, had a great conversation earlier this week with Helen Oakley about the AI bill of materials and, um, So a lot, a lot of great, great chats all week long.

So I'm, I'm looking forward to seeing those recordings and

[00:02:46] Marco Ciappelli: Jessica Robinson

[00:02:48] Christina Stokes: and Jessica Robinson talking about energy and making sure to cleanse negative energy and, you know, making sure leadership comes in with great energy. Cause that does impact the team. So, and that was very exciting as well.

[00:03:00] Marco Ciappelli: And then you had a non profit conversation with an institute of

[00:03:04] Christina Stokes: peace cyber peace all the way

[00:03:06] Marco Ciappelli: from Geneva,

[00:03:07] Christina Stokes: Geneva, Switzerland.

Yes. They're a great organization Um looking to help different types of threats and and well non profit organizations that are experiencing Uh, the the impact of cyber safety and the need for that. So they're they're a wonderful organization Near and dear to my heart. So I was it was great to be able to speak with Adrian.Ogee

[00:03:28] Marco Ciappelli: yeah See you were in front of the camera actually more than me. You beat me. You beat me by one you beat me by one Um, actually by two because one of the conversation I was on was with you So you also had one recap where we talk about the frankenstein

[00:03:44] Christina Stokes: Yes

[00:03:44] Marco Ciappelli: that this industry may have be but maybe not.

We don't know you gotta listen that conversation. It's pretty cool I

[00:03:50] Christina Stokes: think we have to move fast and stay ahead

[00:03:52] Sean Martin: The question is, is Frankenstein bad?

[00:03:56] Marco Ciappelli: Is Frankenstein behind us?

[00:03:58] Sean Martin: The young Frankenstein.

[00:04:00] Marco Ciappelli: Is Frankenstein behind us?

[00:04:02] Sean Martin: You might have a little,

[00:04:03] Marco Ciappelli: uh I don't know.

[00:04:05] Sean Martin: A little, uh, moment of joy when you think of young Frankenstein.

[00:04:08] Marco Ciappelli: Yeah, one of my favorite movies. If you're a kid from the 80s, definitely one of my favorite movies. Sean, you were back to back. I

[00:04:19] Sean Martin: can't even think at this point.

[00:04:20] Marco Ciappelli: You can't even think. I'm not going to allow you to do the whole recap.

[00:04:24] Sean Martin: I can't do it.

[00:04:25] Marco Ciappelli: A ton of vendors, a ton of broadcast alley. I can do the recap for you if you want.

But I think, uh, just check out ITSP Magazine.

[00:04:35] Sean Martin: Yeah, there's I don't know how many, 25, 20, 25 something things I recorded this week. Um,

[00:04:43] Marco Ciappelli: luckily I don't pay you by the pound.

[00:04:44] Sean Martin: I know exactly. I want to, yeah, I think I want to point to the four organizations that joined me in Broadcast Alley. Those were, those were really not that the others weren't of course, but um, those are very meaningful to have that opportunity to sit there with, with, uh, Teresa from Blue Level.

Sorry, Level Blue. I knew I was going to need that one. Teresa from Level Blue. It's a new

[00:05:10] Marco Ciappelli: name.

[00:05:11] Sean Martin: It is a new name. AT& T Cyber Security. It's a new venture that they launched. So listen to that episode and learn more about that. Uh, Dror from Coro.

Great guy, great conversation.

Sian John, our good friend from NCC group.

And then I had Vivek Ramachandran, I'm not going to try to pronounce his name, sorry Vivek.

[00:05:30] Marco Ciappelli: Just call him Vivek.

[00:05:31] Sean Martin: Vivek from Squarex. Another great conversation. Four organizations doing incredible things. And a few more. That, uh, that I had, that I, I'm going to call out one, because I don't, don't, I had a, I had an inkling the conversation might come to a point of, of feeling, a feeling of emotion.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I didn't, I didn't expect it, I didn't expect it to go as far as it did, and, uh, Larry Whiteside is a hero in my mind and I, and that's why I asked him to join me on the show. He does such incredible work for the industry and for the community. And he does a food for thought, where he actually, he told me he has a list of things he thinks about and sometimes he just puts that out for, to share his own thoughts in the form of a way that gets other people to think and have their own opinion and thoughts.

Beyond technology, really, really digging into the soul and into the mind of us as a community. And, I don't know, that conversation blew my mind.

[00:06:45] Christina Stokes: Uh huh.

[00:06:45] Sean Martin: And I'm, I'm hopeful people will really, really enjoy it. It's, it's,

[00:06:51] Marco Ciappelli: well,

[00:06:51] Sean Martin: for me it was one of the highlights.

[00:06:53] Marco Ciappelli: It is the highlights because this is again why we're here.

It's about humanity. It's not technology for technology. Uh, AI is human. Technology is human. If we're doing it for the wrong reason, we're doing it wrong. I think, honestly, we have been doing it wrong for a while. So, fight me on that one. And when you hear that That the real humanity coming through, even getting emotional like you did.

Uh, it's cool. That's, that's what we do at ITSP Magazine. We, this is who we are. And this is how we roll. Uh, as far as I am concerned, uh, Geoff White all the way from the UK, fantastic conversation about his new book on cybercrime, uh, money laundering. Excited to see him again, as well as Sian John in, uh, Infosecurity.

Europe is our next stop, a few weeks away, excited for that. And then of course, I spent some time with my really good friend from the aerospace village. Steve Lucinski, always fun to have him on, supporting some of his, uh, stuff. There's the badge with the whole constellation. Um, good luck with resolving that one.

[00:08:06] Sean Martin: I'll try to do CTF on this. I'll let you know how it goes.

[00:08:11] Marco Ciappelli: Good luck with that one. So, this is it. Uh, little, little sad, but very, very happy for the way it went. Looking forward for Infosecurity Europe. And Then we're back at Hacker Summer Camp. Black Hat, DEF CON, B Sides. Diana Initiative and we're running a lot of people again, Mari, Cyberjitsu,

[00:08:38] Sean Martin: OWASP Global in Lisbon, there you go, that might happen, there you go, and who knows, maybe Melbourne, ah,

[00:08:45] Marco Ciappelli: maybe Melbourne, but that's, that's way ahead of time,

[00:08:49] Sean Martin: so here right now, I know you took a photo of the crew in Broadcast Alley, so heartfelt thank you to that team,

[00:08:56] Christina Stokes: thank you,

[00:08:56] Sean Martin: um, to the whole team, and the PR team, exactly, all of them.

And a special shout out to Linda, Bri and Cecilia and, uh, Ben. We actually And Ben. Ben, absolutely. And, uh, we, we actually got to see Hugh Thompson as well. Yeah. I think they're, they're doing a recap as we're

[00:09:14] Marco Ciappelli: traditional handshake and photo with them. Exactly. Take care. You know, take a look at that. Uh,

[00:09:21] Sean Martin: amazing crew.

I think we, we all said. It's back, baby. It's back. It's back.

[00:09:25] Marco Ciappelli: It's definitely back. And we will be back next year for sure. So far, we are done. Thank you, everybody. Follow all of us. There's more coming.

[00:09:37] Sean Martin: This will be one of the final ones. There's more stuff coming. We haven't put it all in yet. I don't even know how much content we created.

We haven't put it all in yet.

[00:09:43] Marco Ciappelli: Oh, that's good. From San Francisco, from RSA Conference 2024, Goodbye.

[00:09:53] Sean Martin: Ciao, ciao.
